The Alamo Fire Department serves the Town of Alamo and backs up all county volunteer departments. The department is a volunteer department with 15 volunteers and a part-time Chief.
About the Chief
Chief Neal Towater has been a Fireman for over 24 years. Along with being the Chief of the Alamo Fire Department he is currently a Captain for the City of Jackson Fire Department. Chief Towater has been volunteer with the Alamo Fire Department since 2012 and became Chief in 2018. Chief Towater has been a resident of Alamo since 2007.

It needs to be at lease two weeks in advance.
What are the qualifications for becoming a firefighter?
Basic firefighting training.
