The Town of Alamo is accepting applications for a full-time employee to perform maintenance and construction tasks of a skilled nature, including cutting grass, removing debris from streets, loading and unloading dirt, gravel, trash, and other refuse. It also includes reading customer water meters and related activities. The position will report to and be under the supervision of the Streets Department supervisor. Much of the work is performed outdoors regardless of the weather. Experience in the operation of heavy equipment and/or a commercial driver’s license is a plus. Possession of a regular driver’s license and graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent GED diploma is mandatory. There are on-call duties on weekends and evenings from time to time. The successful candidate must pass a drug screening and physical examination from a licensed physician before employment is offered.
The position does qualify for health and paid leave benefits. The average work week will be 40 hours. The hourly rate will be in the $15 - $18 range depending on qualifications.

TOWN RECORDER ALAMO. The Town of Alamo is currently accepting applications for a Town Recorder. The position is responsible for a broad range of administrative, accounting, and support services under the general supervision of the Mayor. Instructions to the employee are general and the employee must routinely use independent judgement when completing tasks. The employee must consider different courses of action and sometimes deviate from standard operating procedures.
