Tornado Shelter
The town has a tornado shelter on East Park Street. It was built to withstand an F5 tornado. It was completed in 2014. It can handle up to 800 people standing. Notices will be posted during threatening weather on the scanner, and anyone can call City Hall to find out. Notices are also normally put out on Nixle by the Crockett County Sheriff Department.
